1.2.5 Mobile Computer
Portable or mobile computers are small, lightweight, and easy to carry. Unlike desktop computers, they
are designed to be used anywhere—at home, school, office, or while traveling. These computers usually
run on rechargeable batteries as well as electricity, which makes them very flexible.
Common examples of portable computers include laptops, notebooks, netbooks, tablets, and
smartphones. They allow users to perform tasks such as browsing the internet, creating documents,
watching videos, and running applications without being tied to a single location.
Because of their mobility and convenience, portable computers are widely used by students,
professionals, and travelers. Today, mobile computing has become a part of everyday life, making
portable computers the most practical choice for modern users.
