Life Doesn’t Happen Without Talking to Strangers
Talking to strangers isn’t just the right thing to do
it’s a matter of survival and a force of nature as old as
humanity itself. Whatever it is you want in this life: a
dream job, a great education or a crazy idea or a ticket
to the World Cup—chances are you’ll need a strangers
help to get it. To understand this is to recognize one of
life’s simple truths: life doesn’t happen without talking
to strangers.
If you’ve ever been on the subway or in an elevator,
you know the rules. Don’t make eye contact, stay as far
away from other people as you can, and whatever you
do, don’t talk to strangers.
