72 Organizing new and existing knowledge from the instructor's
         perspective

Instructors in learning processes play an important role in heightening the
knowledge level of the students. As opined by Jaggars and Xu (2016), the online
platform helps the trainers to accumulate relevant information and draft the online
courses for facilitating the student group. The main function of the instructors includes
the guidance that they provide to the learners. Thus, the instructors need to organize
the information concerning the new and existing knowledge in improving the learning
opportunities of the students. As per Wingo et al. (2017), the learner groups opts for
e-learning methods as they can obtain visual, animated as well as a simpler form of
learning materials to gain advantages. Thus, the instructors of several websites online
courses must allow the proper accumulation of new as well as existing knowledge. The
instructors also facilitate the better development of the students and allow the
incorporation of learning skills with curriculum activities.

Role of visual contents in learning domains

In the e-learning process, visual content such as educational videos, animations
allows the effective growth of knowledge among the student's group. As stated by
Thomas et al. (2016), visual learning improves the learning processes at multiple
stages. Visual learners can store information in their minds for a longer period of time
that helps in the longterm storage of learning materials. On the other hand, visual
materials with the help of proper assistance of instructors heighten the knowledge
level of the students 60,000x faster. Proper communication with the help of visual
learning materials helps the process development of the learners’ imagination. E-
learning programs thus aid the better delivery of the knowledge materials and
stimulate the cognitive learning capabilities. According to Lowenthal and Hodges
(2015), visual learning methods, as well as animations, helps in the simpler adoption
of the learning methods. In the case of a typical traditional teaching style, the learners
tend to lose interest. Therefore, the effective use of e-learning procedures allows an
effective understanding of heavy topics. Captivation of images, the introduction of
learning graphic and images boosts the energy level of the students. As per Sarrab et
al. (2016), the animated videos acts as a stimulator that enhances the learning
functions of the human brain. Vivid colored videos, visual metaphors in the e-learning
processes are successful in creating longlasting impressions.

Assimilation of new and existing knowledge from learner s perspective

The assimilation of knowledge helps the learner group in reshaping the
cognitive processes to incorporate the new ideas. Assimilation takes place when a
learner is encountered with a new idea that has to be ‘fit’ in the knowledge areas,
which they are already familiar with. Thus, the assimilation of new and existing from
