CHAPTER 10 - GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT - GRANDDAUGHTERS AND MY SPORTING PHILOSOPHY
Courtney
I always enjoy Courtney’s company. Courtney is Peter and Barbie’s younger daughter. What I like about her is her drive to achieve her chosen career of psychology where she has obtained her degree and is now working towards her Masters. I admire Courtney because in completing her final degree, she left home and went to Bond University on the Gold Coast. This provided her
with a great opportunity of solely concentrating on her future and I was extremely interested when I read her thesis on psychological aggression. I must say that I hardly understood anything of what she said or had written but did add my comments which I suppose were ignored. Today Courtney is a Registered Psychiatrist. She is not overly keen on active sport but keeps fit and of course is a great supporter of Essendon, again joining me at all the matches, even though we went through a torrid time with the drug scandal and had to grin and bear getting thumped just about in every game. In fairness to us, we never leave until the end, but the end took a long time in many of the matches. I now look forward to Essendon improving its ability with the drug scandal behind them.
On 10th March this year she married Leigh Allan, the love of her life, who works in the finance industry.
Brendan
Brendan my eldest grandson, has a serious attitude towards life and is extremely capable when it comes to his career. He is an IT graduate and currently forms part of the Shannon Group, working in one of the Branches. Brendan is well organised and is pedantic, making sure that everything is right. I am told that those customers who
