over 90 pre-recorded web based CE hours: Geomatics) program was approved by the Accreditation

October 2019. This program is a newer one and another
option for online surveying degrees. The University of
Maine has an online program as well, and both colleges
would be a promising choice for prospective students.
With the new educational requirements in New York,
more people will be looking at online degrees to be eligible
for licensure. The new requirements were signed into law
on October 29, 2019 and became effective 18 months
after it was signed on April 3, 2021. However, the all-
experience pathway to licensure will not be completely
repealed until 8 years after the effective date: April 3,
2029. If you are contemplating attending an online
college for survey or geomatics don’t overlook this college.
