Meet Smartha
Ambrose
My name is Smartha Ambrose and I am a physiotherapist
at Lansdowne Gardens. I have spent the last four years
doing what I do best here. One of the favourite things
about my job is that I get to work with a variety of people
and conditions, ranging from postoperative joint
replacements to persistent lower back pain. Nothing
beats the feeling of helping someone feel pain free and
be back on their feet to go about their normal life. For the Diary
“Physiotherapy is the practice of helping restore
movement and function to those who have been affected Date Event
by illness, injury or disability. It is an extremely rewarding

making friends. I developed a keen interest in the human

body at a young age which led me to pursue a career in
Physiotherapy. Having finished my bachelor's degree in 20 March Nepalese Cultural Day

Dancing which are very popular dance forms. I enjoy 2 April Carnival Day
working out in the gym to keep myself fit and regularly 9 April Easter Church Service
participate in events such as City to Surf, Tough Mudder 22 April Annie Musical Performance
etc. which test my physical abilities. I enjoy socialising and 23 April
usually get called the 'party girl' at work because I always Colours of the Season
have fun stories about my weekend to share on Monday 24 April ANZAC Day Memorial
morning. I enjoy travelling and have been to almost all TBC May Vivid Lights Festival
the states in Australia. I wish to explore Europe this year. 4 May Mother's Day Luncheon
My role as a Physiotherapist can be challenging at times 9 May Mother's Day Celebrations
but helping our residents through their wellness journey 15 May Signature Colour Event
and to have them back feeling fit and well again is what 26 May Dance for Health
defines my job as a Physiotherapist at Lansdowne.
