Meet Jasmine Green
21 March Joan L.
24 March Kenneth C.
As a child, Jasmine didn’t run away and join the circus. Instead,
April Ashton’s circus took her on tour as a member of their children’s star
4 April Mary N. dance troupe. Jasmine was thirteen years old when she travelled with
the show to many parts of Australia and performed under the famous
8 April Shirley W. big top. It was an exhilarating reward for her dedication to ballet and
callisthenics from the time she was very young.
9 April Wai L.
Back in her hometown of Melbourne, Jasmine, over the next few years
10 April Dawn S.
began to teach dance and physical education at a number of high
17 April Gwendoline L. schools. As often as not, her students were older than herself! During
this time she also developed a passion for choreography. From her
25 April Joan H. mid‐teens through to her early twenties, Jasmine created numerous
routines for marching bands, pantomime acts, high school

performances and recreational productions.

Then the time came when Jasmine attended a social function, little
6 May Rhoda Mc. realising that it would be a life‐changing occasion. It was at this event
that she met her future husband, Trevor, who was visiting from
12 May Marie B.
Sydney. It was a classic case of love at first sight. Following a whirlwind
romance, Trevor asked Jasmine to marry him exactly one week after
13 May Beverley G.
they first met. After a short engagement, they were married in
13 May Shirley F. Melbourne on the second last day of the autumn of 1964.
21 May Margaret R. Jasmine then relocated to Sydney, where she thrived as a full‐time
wife and homemaker. Parenthood followed, and the immeasurable

extent of Jasmine’s loving devotion to her two sons, Brad and Dan,
26 May Gregory M. was obvious to all who knew her. Meanwhile, assisted by Jasmine’s
unlimited encouragement and support, her husband, Trevor, pursued
26 May Jennifer W. his entrepreneurial ambitions and branched out from his job as a
pharmacy store manager to establish a successful business of his own,

manufacturing and distributing proprietary pharmaceutical products.
28 May Glory B.
Jasmine Green is an enormously proud and devoted mother, and a
30 May Margaret L. naturally gifted teacher. Above all she has always been renowned for
her generosity and kind‐heartedness, invariably at the ready with a
special present for her friends or the warmest of long, caring hugs for
any visitor.
