Meet the Team
Saki Kakinuma
Hi! My name is Saki. I come from Japan and have
been in Sydney since 2019. All my family are in
Japan. I grew up in a small city in Japan in a big
family with my grandparents, my parents, my two
younger sisters and two dogs. In Japan I worked as a
Registered Nurse in a hospital with the elderly.
I have been working at Lansdowne Gardens since
2020 as a Personal Care Assistant. Initially I was a
private carer for a resident in Camelia and was
offered a position in Camelia. I am now a Leisure &
Lifestyle Officer. In this position I find my work with
residents very rewarding, and I have the opportunity
to learn their backgrounds and to make their life
happier. Every day I am still learning about our
residents’ individual needs and am focusing on their
needs based on these backgrounds.
I like playing tennis and also watching the matches
on television and I am really hoping to go to
Melbourne and watch the Melbourne Cup next year.
I like all types of music and I like to dance but as I am
shy, I don’t dance in public. But love to dance with
our residents.
Next time you see me at Lansdowne Gardens, please
come and say hello.
