Meet the Team
Brain Teaser
Violet Odisho
My name is Violet Odisho and I am the Food
Services Leader at Lansdowne Gardens. I’m going to
have to give you a very brief intro into my life
otherwise this could go on for 10 pages if not
longer.
I’m married with two children, an 18 year old son
and a 17 year old daughter. I lived and graduated
high school in France. I started my career in retail,
as a company manager and salesperson for ten
years working for a company that dealt with
overseas fashion retailing which enabled me to
travel to Singapore, Malaysia and Fiji all through my
work, however over time, this job became no longer
suitable as I became a full-time mum. When the
kids went to school, I started working in the library
at my children’s primary school. Soon after, I made
the choice to move into hospitality in which I owned
a restaurant ‘Coco’s Pizza Cafe’ which I worked as
the barista and breakfast chef whilst managing the
business. After six years I made the decision to sell
the restaurant, as I felt like I was missing out on
quality time with my family.
At the beginning of 2020, I was fortunate enough to
receive a job offer with Lansdowne Gardens as a

‘Food Services Leader’. Working at Lansdowne
Gardens has truly allowed me to show my true love
for being able to provide food and beverages for the
residents and their families. Just seeing the
satisfaction and true appreciation on their faces and
the compliments received from not only the
residents, but also their families, is truly rewarding.
As well as being there for the residents and their
families throughout the happy and sad times is an
amazing and rewarding feeling. I am so privileged to
have met and now work with such wonderful
people throughout different parts of the residence,
overall, all staff members play a significant role in
the wellbeing aspects of my job. Moving forward in
my time with Lansdowne Gardens, I would like to
grow further and be given the opportunity to
enhance my passion for working with the
community.
The days I am not at work, I love to go for a walk
and have breakfast with my friends. Besides,
enjoying my time with my colleagues at work, I also
love having opportunities to catch up and go out for
drinks and dinner with them outside of work. I find
it as a rewarding and fulfilling experience for all of
us to look forward to and bond with each other and
have a nice cocktail together.
