SPRING 2021
LANSDOWNE NEWS
Welcome
By Trish Foley
As COVID‐19 continues to create havoc with all
aspects of our lives we can all be grateful that
Lansdowne Gardens remains a safe haven for all our
residents. Our staff continue to work diligently
looking after our residents to ensure they remain
safe. Staff continue to receive their COVID‐19 Moira chatting about the Australian Willie
vaccinations. We had another clinic in late August. Wagtail bird in the courtyard
As you are aware we have until the 17th September
to ensure our staff have at least one vaccination. We
are working closely with all our staff to ensure this
deadline is met.
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce our
new staff members. Ellie Hwang who has joined our
team as the new Clinical Care Manager. Ellie has a
background of emergency nursing and Health Care
Management. A few years ago she decided to leave
the acute sector for Aged Care. Since her transition
she has worked as both a Care and Quality Manager. Ethelle and Pat making flowers
Gaile Woods has also joined the team as the Leisure
& Lifestyle Coordinator. Gaile has been working in
the aged care sector for over 18 years. Her greatest
passion is her work and she considers it a privilege
to work with our residents. Ellie, Gail and myself
have been warmly welcomed by everyone and look
forward to meeting everyone when we once again
can open the doors to visitors. In the meantime
please stay safe.
