          Leisure & Lifestyle Update                               Happy Birthday




           We continue to present the Leisure & Lifestyle          We wish the following residents
           program on a topical themed basis. Using this           a very happy birthday!
           model we select virtual travel, movies, concerts,
           Cooking Club, Sing‐A‐Longs and gentle relaxation         March
           music to fit in with the weekly theme. In January
           we of course celebrated Australia Day with

           Chinese New Year was rung in with a lunch of             8 March           John W.
           Sweet & Sour Pork, documentaries on The Great
           Wall of China and Ancient Chinese history. In            19 March          Warwick & Norma
           Cooking Club we tackled Fried Rice and our
           residents pronounced it “as good as the real             20 March          Koula

           Then came Valentine’s Day and a week of Love &
           Romance with ‘Happy Ending’ movies and                   6 April           Lawrence

           resident a lovely package of chocolate hearts which

           were quickly nibbled up!

           We have played host to some wonderful
           entertainers, the renowned Jazz Player, George           24 April          Bryce
           Washingmachine, our resident singer/pianist who
           belts out the Good Olde Songs with our residents         May
           joining in with great gusto! (They also love her
           huge range of sparkly tops.) Keff McCulloch played       12 May            Marie
           his guitar and sang for us. He is also good for an old

           So, as you can see, we have been rather busy in
