-  Clients and customers need more attention and intimacy right now.
                   -  You need to be proactive with changes in the economy and give them a light for
                       what will come next.
                   -  You need to be a leader and allow them to follow you, not just for what you’re
                       good at, but for what will happen next in their life or business.
                   -  You need to have quicker response times to your customers and if you have
                       support staff, they need quicker support times.
                   -  You need to give them the options to extend payments or have more flexible
                       payment terms.
                   -  You need to focus on being able to generate more income from each customer,
                       which means understanding what they need and what they are willing to pay for
                       and offering that to them.
                   -  You need to over-deliver on what you say you’re going to do.
                   -  You need to make sure that whatever you do, is always a must for your client and
                       customer and not a nice-to-have.
                   -  You need to share wins with your customers or clients.
                   -  You need to create a community of your clients and customers and lead a
                       mastermind on what they are doing.
                   -  You need to show how you’re helping your customer and what you’re doing to
                       allow for their success (no matter what it is you’re helping them with).
                   -  You need to ensure that you give extra appreciation and have upfront and
                       transparent conversations with your client.
                   -  Show up in every interaction with them, with nothing to prove.

               In times when the economy isn’t as good, it’s really important that people look at paying
               you as not an expense, but a really good investment.

               It’s truly important that you over-deliver and aren’t just an expense that they see on their
               credit card each and every month.

               It’s the time to stand up and be a leader to those who you lead, no matter how you lead
               them.

               You no longer are competing with others in your marketplace.

               You’re competing with your own ability to provide value, clarity and alignment for your
               customer.
