Add tricks from other sources (P. L. P.). The ¨7 might well be a trick by
length.
Manage the hand. We are going to win as soon as we can and play ËJ
overtaking with the Ace and run the diamonds. If we do not overtake we
will finish with 1 diamond only as there is no entry to the dummy.
Play. Announce "part score" and remember to overtake the ËJ. We make

Manage the hand. We are going to win as soon and as cheaply as we can
and play on clubs counting carefully to see if we have to lose one. If that is
the case we lose it.
Play. We announce "part score". Notice that on the likely spade lead we
win the first trick with the Queen and play 4 rounds of clubs. As soon as
we regain the lead we win our fifth club as soon as possible so that we
don’t forget. We should finish with 2 spades, 1 diamond and 4 clubs.
