RENO PHILHARMONIC

Professional Players of "Classix"
and Pop Alike

With nearly 50 successful seasons under their belt,
the over 60 musicians who make up the Reno
Philharmonic Orchestra have long delighted
audiences in the Reno area and beyond. The
nonprofit organization that runs the Reno
Philharmonic maintains a busy schedule for the
musicians, staging performances for the
professional orchestra, three different youth
orchestras, several ensembles, and a symphonic
chorus, plus many educational outreach programs
throughout the year.

Catching the Reno Philharmonic in action is as
easy as purchasing tickets to one of their regular
performances at the Pioneer Center for the
Performing Arts. These regular events typically
highlight visiting guest soloists from across the
country and the globe in tandem with the
professional musicians that make up Reno's own
Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, the Reno
Philharmonic offers several exciting concert series
for special events throughout the year, some of
which take place at outdoor events around the
Reno area. Enjoy Pops on the River or Broadway
on the Beach, or take in one of their highly
anticipated holiday concerts in November and
December. Reno area children will get to enjoy the
sounds of the Philharmonic; their Young
People's Concert series has gained national
attention and won awards for the Philharmonic's
outreach efforts to Reno area schools and
education programs. A rich culture complete with
live classical music and stirring pop and holiday
classics helps make Reno a wonderful place to
live. For more information on the Reno
Philharmonic Orchestra and their current calendar
of events, visit their website at www.renophil.org.
