RENO RODEO
10 Days of Wild Rides
The Reno Rodeo is an annual event held for 10
days each summer. Called the "Wildest,
Richest Rodeo in the West," the Reno
Rodeo offers a spectacular lineup featuring
riders from the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association (PRCA). From family friendly
parades to thrilling bull riding and bareback
bucking, the Reno Rodeo truly offers something
for everyone.
In addition to watching the PRCA cowboys rope
cattle, ride wild horses, and put on an overall
exhilarating show, the Reno Rodeo also
features appearances from the annual Miss
Reno Rodeo pageant. Winners are typically
lovely to look at, sure, but these Reno
gals are also well versed in how to rope and
ride horses, making them well poised to
represent both the wildness and beauty of
the West.
Tickets to the Reno Rodeo can be purchased in
advance or on the day of the event you plan to
attend. A volunteer run organization, the Reno
Rodeo offers discounts for a number of special
populations, including senior citizens, young
children, and members of the military. Before
deciding when to check out the Reno Rodeo,
be sure to look at the calendar of theme nights.
From Father's Night celebration to Nevada Wolf
Pack pride night, and even a "Pink" night to
raise awareness for breast cancer, the Reno
Rodeo offers lots of ways to celebrate and
show your pride while taking in a seriously
great show.
