The Reno Bighorns are a NBA Development
League team who recently announced their sole
affiliation with the Sacramento Kings. The Bighorns
began playing during the 2008-2009 season, much
to the delight of basketball fans in the Reno area.
The Bighorns currently make their home in the
Reno Events Center, a 7,000 seat events facility
that opened to the public in 2005. Families love
going to check out a Reno Bighorns game thanks
to the affordably priced tickets and the clean,
comfortable facility that’s still less than a decade
old.
A Bighorns game is also a great move for a group
of friends looking to do something a little different,
or even a date night with that special, sporty
someone. While the Bighorns may not be in the
big leagues yet, we love that Reno gives us a
chance to watch talented players at the very start
of their careers. Enjoying professional sports
without paying an arm and a leg is a real treat, and
we’ll be happy to root for our Bighorns if they go on
to play for the Kings one day.
