Welcome Message from Head of the faculty

As Conference Chair and on behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, I
am delighted to welcome delegates to 1st international conference and 2nd national
conference on “Modern Geomatics Technologies and Applications at Marand
Technical Faculty at university of Tabriz. This conference is organized in honor of
Professor Abbas Rajabifard. The ambition of this conference is to bring together
academic and industrial researchers with shared interests in a broad range of
disciplines surrounding frontier technologies, breakthroughs, innovative solutions,
research results, as well as initiatives related to Geomatics and its interactions with
other fields.
Despite all the coordination and preparation of the infrastructure to host a memorable
conference in the historical city of Marand, the restrictions of the corona-affected
situation convinced the organization committee to hold an online conference.
However, the program is rather dense, offering a considerable variety of topics. We
will have several oral sessions and workshops. In addition to the contributed papers,
invited keynote presentations will enhance the event by presenting their valuable and
deep visions and experiences.
I express my gratitude to the authors who have contributed with very interesting
papers on several subjects, covering many fields of the conference. I also appreciate
the reviewers and session chairs for the time and efforts they spent in evaluating the
papers with a tight schedule that has permitted the publication of this proceedings
volume in time for the conference. We also thank to our sponsors that will create a
more interactive and technological environment. I would like to extend my thanks
to our colleagues from Marand technical faculty for offering to host this conference
and for their valuable work in providing the necessary infrastructure and support for
a successful event.
