Welcome Message from Conference Chair

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome you to the first international and second national
conference on modern Geomatics technologies and application. NGTU conference

is held to bring researchers and students, interested in this field together and we aim
to give knowledge on recent developments and approaches in modern Geomatics.
Due to coronavirus spread and to protect our precious participants, this conference
is held online.
The first national conference was held in Marand technical faculty in September
2018 with the slogan, Geomatics for tourism development. At the opening
ceremony, with the speech of Professor Al-Sheikh, focusing on the role of
Geomatics in the development of tourism, he represented new fields of study and
research. Also in this conference, we benefit from the lecture and the presence of
Professor Amini, Dr. Mojaradi and Dr. Abbasi. In this conference, about 100 articles
were received and 8 specialized workshops were held on various practical topics.
In the present conference, 126 scientific papers in different fields are received. We
are going to have 8 keynote speakers (Prof. Rajabifard, Prof. Alesheikh, Dr.
Ebrahimian Ghajari, Dr. Madad, Dr. Saadat Seresht, Dr. Mojaradi, Dr. bayraktutan,
Dr. Kunz) from Iran and other countries. Furthermore, 3 workshops will be held on
spatial data science, BIM and Augmented reality.
As the general chair, I would like to mention that this conference’s success is the
result of the sincere cooperation of many people who accompanied us in our
targeting, and technical and social planning and in particular, the head of the Faculty,
Dr. Shahamat, the scientific and executive committee of the conference, Dr.
Rahmanizadeh, and other faculty members, and the sponsors, who helped us to better
organize this event and reduce participants' costs.
The first international conference will be held in honor of Professor Abbas
Rajabifard at the University of Tabriz, Marand Faculty of Engineering. We are proud
to host one of the greatest leaders in the field of Geomatics. We wish good health,
longevity and increasing success for this wise professor.
