                                                         Supervised Agriculture Experience
                                                        The last circle in the model is SAE.  All students in
                                                      agriculture class will be exposed to an SAE project.
                                                      This is an individual or school based project that
                                                      develops a set of competencies for students to gain
                                                      valuable employability skills.   Students are able to
                                                      seek out job shadows, internships, employment, or
                                                      becoming an entrepreneur.  In the FFA, students
                                                      use these projects to gain awards, scholarships, and
                                                      state FFA degrees.  Students become strong advo-
                                                      cates for agriculture through experiences.  Students
                                                      use The Agriculture Experience Tracker, a digital
                                                      record book system to keep track of income, ex-
                                                      penses, and skills that students are learning. Proj-
                                                      ects are categorized in four major areas: placement,
                                                      research, foundational, or entrepreneurships.

                                                        Pella is excited to partner with Shenandoah
                                                      High School and offer an internship program.
                                                      Pella and other manufacturing companies have
                                                      so many career opportunities and this is a great
                                                      way for students to see what is available. The
                                                      students can select the types of positions they are
