jurisdiction of generality in the field of a Professor. Such lectures also enable a
mixed audience to appreciate the nuances and complexities of the chosen field,
but at the same time, maintain minimum level of technicality necessary to
preserve the integrity of the problem. This lecture will bring the subject of marine
ecotoxicology to the level to which it can contribute to sustainable exploitation of
the Namibian marine resources. This lecture is also intended to bring the subject
of marine ecotoxicology to the level of appreciation by both the managers and
operators within the Namibian fishing industry.
