Trilene Knot

Many anglers prefer this knot for bigger or heavier lures or flies because
it holds well. In fact, it often tests stronger than a Clinch Knot.

                  1. Start this knot the same way as you would start a Clinch Knot, but
after you have brought the tippet through the hook eye, keep coming
around and pass the tippet through the hook eye a second time, in
the same direction as the first pass. This will form a double loop in
front of the eye as you start to make your turns around the standing
part of the line. Keep this loop open with the thumb and forefinger of
                     your left hand.
