Albright Knot

In saltwater fishing, you’ll often need to connect lines of different
diameters; sometimes, the materials are different, such as when you join
monofilament to fluorocarbon. You’ll find the Albright Knot most useful for
joining these different lines, particularly when building leaders for big-
game species (usually in saltwater fishing), or attaching a fly line to its
               backing.

                  1. Make a loop in the tag end of the heavier leader material,
overlapping with the line with the tag end a couple inches. Pass the
lighter material through this loop and pinch it against the heavier

material. Give yourself a couple inches of material to work with.
                  2. Wrap the lighter material over the doubled section of heavier
material, working toward the loop. You want about ten to twelve
turns. (I recommend using twelve.) On the same side that you
