"I have terrible news for them, it was your secretary who gave me your
private number, because of the urgency," says Schultz.
"It's okay. How can I help you?"
"I have to go straight to the point, Sir," says the commissioner, clearly out-
of-breath.
“A bomb has exploded in your office about five minutes ago. The police is
on their way out now. We wanted to make sure you’re unharmed."
“What? A bomb in my office?”
"We got a call from your secretary, who told us that the whole building
has been evacuated. We do not yet know the full extent of the damage"
"Oh no, please tell me this is a joke in poor taste.”
“Unfortunately not, sir.”
“Is anyone hurt? Do you know that?”
“Well sir, according to the secretary, it is only in the office that’s been damaged.
Everyone has been ordered to leave to building. They should be kept away until
further investigation is made.
Gustav is now looking very grave. “But we need to-”
Shultz breaks in. "Do you want me to send some of my people out to your
current location now?" A weird smile spreads across Gustav's face as he turns to
Claire again.
"No Schultz, thank you. I have my own bodyguard here,” he answers.
Claire looks back at him and makes a similar weird, stiff smile.
“Well, if you believe that you are safe for the time being, I shall not disturb
you any further"
"Mr Shultz, call me again as soon as you have an overview of the situation,
and tell the staff, the ones who are still close to in the office, to go home and wait
until they get further information. My secretary will take care of what else there
could be. And Shultz, do try to keep the press as far away from the scene as
possible.”
“Of course, sir. Farewell.” Shultz says and hangs up.
“Look at this before we go.” Claire says and points to a picture with a
German text that reads “Mensch, du hast die kraft zu diener selbstbestimmungen“
