"Thank you for the great teamwork. It is a fantastic feeling that we are all sitting
here with you - unharmed, ”she says smiling to Tom.
Tom smiles back.
“May I recommend myself as assistance in the case moving forward. "
"We'll land in about half an hour, no worries. We’ll talk there."
"What made you so sure, that you could get out of the situation unscathed?"
asks Olina, looking intensely at Tom.
“Well, when you end in a hostage situation, being taken a prisoner, it's rarely
the case that they want publicity, as you in terrorist-cases, where the outside
world has to acknowledge the depravity of the situation. No, in a case like this I
am a ransom, some sort of treasure, where my persona is to be traded for
something else. People like Kräsen want to negotiate, they need money, power
etc. As I spend the first five minutes in the hole, I knew that I was being used for
other motives. They would’ve killed me before, had it been another kind of
hostage situation. I heard them talk outside of the door and checking the lock
several times. I reasoned that I was very likely to be saved. "
"And?" asks Olina. “Your phone was disconnected. Did they take it? "

“You went out to Johan Kräsen's old headquarters to snoop around, then we
didn’t hear from afterwards. We immediately thought you’ve been captured" She
adds, "Well, that's how we perceived it."
"That's correct," Tom replies.
They both enjoy the beautiful approach. The plane lowering its altitude and
starts decreasing in speed as well. Tom has always loved the last part of flying.
They are now over the piece of sea that separates Denmark and Sweden, which
runs almost all the way to the edge of Kastrup Airport. The lights from the
Airport are reflected in the carbon-black water.
“What’s been going on, or rather, goes on at Kräsen’s headquarters is of great
importance. I haven't quite figured out why, but I can clearly sense that it's
definitely not a place they want us to snoop around any longer.”
"What did you find out there except for an old farmhouse?"
"Well, farmhouse, that is perhaps a very big understatement," he says, and for
