control of the situation. But by playing the big power-play, they have also
revealed that Gustav Kräsen – and the whole company - is deeply involved in
something extremely dodgy."
"Who is this Claire? What is her role does in all of this? I've asked Bjørn to
investigate. I asked him about that, just before we left, and he didn't look happy, ”
replies Olina.
Tom interrupts her. "They wouldn't have killed me." Olina looks at him with
bewildered eyes.
"Claire has been spying on me ever since I left Kastrup eight days ago. When I
saw her, I thought I recognized her from my hotel in Munich; she probably even
went to my room. These people just want us out - they don’t want us snooping
around any further. As I sat in there in my cell, the hole I was caged in, I thought
to myself. Some of the Kräsen people must have messed up, and then we got
involved, and then it got even worse for them. It's probably a matter of time
before some of the people start messing up again "
Olina nods again with a puzzled look on her face. "A hole?"
“Yes, I was placed in an abandoned bunker. But I will get back to that, but for
now, I can say this much; I was never unsure about getting out of there alive. I
knew I could.” There is complete silence for a brief moment, before again
exclaims: "Well, let's have a drink, shall we?" The stewardess is on her way to
their seat, she’s a tall, blonde woman with little round glasses and short hair
combed to the side.
"Excuse me, would you like dinner? We have a menu, which you can browse
through.” She speaks English, but with a heavy German accent.
"Thank you," they all say at once, as if they had practiced saying it on top of each
other. She smiles, looking at Tom with a droopy look, before she proceeds saying:
“We have roasted Duck, lobster or a foie gras dish with mashed potatoes on the
side.
Olina wants the duck, and orders it with a pie. Tom just ate at the airport and
didn’t feel hungry, chose the foie gras, he ordered a bottle of champagne for
them, alongside some bottled water.
"When is the job done?" says Tom as the food arrives, "I’m seriously thinking
about quitting."
