accidents; these are self-inflicted causes of death. Witnesses have said that those
sitting in the Ferris wheel were told from the outset to stay calm and sit in the
carts. When the first patrol arrives at the scene, they also orders them to remain
calmly seated in their carts and await further police instructions, and yet ten
people choose to go directly against the police instructions and started crawling
out of the carts, ultimately jumping into their deaths. Some took a wrong step,
others slipped on the metal and some fell out. Our conclusion is that all deaths
must be interpreted as self-inflicted. "
The chief nodded, for the first time, looked a little optimistic and answered:
“Yes, now we are aware of the complete course of death and how to further
investigate it, and that is, for us of course, a good thing. Because it proves that the
police have done the right job in that situation. Everyone can understand that it
is obviously not clever to go against police orders. "
"The report is there, and in all modesty, I think my people have done a good
job." Hamson says, pointing to the paper on the table.
He looks proud and happy. Like everyone else at the police station, he knows
that his department will be the first to get reports done. As soon as something
happens that includes the special department, Hamson goes crazy in his work-
addiction. Hamson is perceived as a bit odd, his office runs like a machine, and
the other three investigators in SID are all over 50, which is more and more
unheard of. Hamson has been working continuously for three days in relation
with the resolution of a kidnapping case involving an eight-year-old boy. The
case was precarious to police for several reasons, but Hamson and his team
managed to solve the task in record time. And where the police in the first place
stood to become the big losers in the public eye, they managed to become heroes
when the boy was quickly found, unharmed and in good condition.
"Thanks, Hamson, I knew I could count on you. You have saved the Brighton
police force before with your excellent and systematic work, and now it seems
that you are once again helping us out in relation to the press. ”
“We are there, 10 minutes after the power has gone, with patrol 45. Ives and
Peter calls and deliver light with their flashlights, they call assistance, and before
15 minutes have passed, floodlights that the police have set up light the spot. It
can hardly be called anything else but darn fine police-work. ”
