provide the basis for improvement. If conflicts arise, it is best resolved when those
involved talk directly. It is best to handle a problem or express a concern immediately
instead of having it continue or escalate. Issues that are unable to be handled
independently are recommended to be reported first to you supervisor whenever
possible.
Civility
To reduce personal conflicts, you are required to apply and practice civility. Civility
means you will not exhibit conduct that is rude, discourteous, not businesslike,
offensive, name-calling, gossiping, backbiting, or that disparages employees.
Insubordination or non-cooperation
Insubordination, unlawful or improper conduct, uncooperative behavior, refusal to
comply with orders or perform work, among other on-the-job conduct adversely
impacting operations will be prohibited.
Disruptive Behavior
Disruptive, disorderly conduct, creating a disturbance or discord such as
roughhousing, dangerous conduct or bad behavior that is not protected by the NLRA
will be prohibited.
Disloyalty or self-enrichment
Employees shall not engage in conduct that constitutes a conflict of financial interest,
such as engaging in competition with the company, taking actions that are not in the
company’s best interests, or using the company for personal gain. These activities that
can undermine the company’s reputation and integrity, and cause employees to doubt
the fairness of personnel actions shall be prohibited.
Confidentiality
Do not disclose confidential financial data, or other non-public proprietary company
information. All property of Employer including documents, records, drawings,
summaries, procedure manuals, handbooks, etc… must be returned should your
employment be discontinued.
Employees should always be diligent to see that confidential information is not left
displayed on computer terminals or left lying around and is secured by locking offices,
vehicles, etc. Discarded confidential information should be shredded prior to
disposal.
