 If you go along the mountain road from Andong to Yeongju, you can see the neat little
 Yeondang Church in a low-lying hill, and the bell tower whose bell was sold for 100,000won
 and repurchased for 2 million won at an antique shop in Cheonan. Yeondang Church
 began on November 24, 1908, when Kang Doo-so gave family worship with Sin Hwasu’s
 family.  For 115 years, founder Kang Doo-soo and his descendants, including his son Rev.
 Kang Dae-eun, his grandchildren Elder Kang Hyung-won, Rev. Kang Sung-won, and Rev.   “Produced 30

            Sangrak Church was established in 1906. Yang Jo-hwan was preached by Oh I-gun, his in-
 112 years of gospel history”
            law who lived in Dain-myeon, Uiseong-gun, and preached the gospel to Jeon Byeongwon
            and Kim Nak-jin, two young men who were the grandchildrens of Dong-ri. The three
            crossed the Nakdong River every Sunday to worship at Sambun Church which was 12 km
            away.

            However, it was too difficult to go 12km long every week, so they decided to provide a
            place where all the villagers could worship together in the future, and on October 15, 1906,
            the first Sunday service was given at the guest room of Yang Jo-hwan’s house, which is
            the beginning of the Sangnak Church. Gradually, the entire village believed in Jesus and
            everyone became a member of the church, so a thatched house of 12 bays was built as a

            new place of worship at 408 Jibori. As the church grew further, it moved to a sunny eastern
            hill, and a second 99㎡ chapel with a tin roof and cement walls was built.
            And for the third time that the church has been established in its current location, the main
            hall was built with 198㎡ in 1968, and an entrance with 66㎡ was built in 1982. On October
 the church bell, sold
 for 100,000 won and   15, 2003, the monument to 100th Anniversary of Sangrak Church was built on the site of
