HORIZON, 2020-21

Pushing aside the fact that the pandemic put a

break in my plans, the fear of the disease Covid-19

as such, constant worrying about grandparents who

were all alone and absolutely hated wearing masks,

hearing about acquaintances lost to the disease,

dealing with pandemic guilt, all together took my

emotions on a roller coaster ride . Honestly there

were a few days when I didn't even know what I did, I

just mechanically went through my routine. I know

that this might sound like nothing compared to what

others went through. Everyone's got their own

situation.

Yes, the pandemic obviously did hit me hard. But it

also gave me certain things that I might not have

been able to do if not for it. Rereading my

favourite books, discovering new music, finally being

able to watch the movies and series on my watchlist,

trying out new recipes and just spending time with

my family. I'm sure I would have done these some

day or the other even if not for the pandemic but, it

gave me an extra year to do this

in the comfort of my home along with my parents

and sister. 2020 taught me to be happy with the

little things, to count my blessings whenever

possible and that eventually life goes on.
