I'll give you an example :

Two people are stuck in traffic. Both of them are

getting late for work. One of them is tense and

irritated. Whereas the other is patient and calm.

Why is there a difference in their attitude? It's

simple.

The former person looks at traffic as a negative

situation in his life whereas the latter looks at it

positively.

The way you react to a situation also depends on

how you understand it.

If you're calm and positive , you react passively ,

but if you're tense and negative , you react

aggressively. A positive change in perspective

results in a positive response to life's situations

and will improve your ability to understand and

communicate with other people".
