HORIZON, 2020-21

The story shows an important aspect of life that

nobody is completely good or bad, that even the

kindest and loving people have dark sides to

them and the most evil ones have moments

when they are likable. The thoughts and actions

of the characters, albeit illegal and borderline

dangerous not only to them but to the others

around them as well, all have some reasons

behind them that can be sympathized with.

Some characters seem caricaturish at first glance

and seem to represent blank characters with no

depth to them, but as the show progresses, we

get to know their thoughts and intentions which

adds layers to them. Most of the characters'

actions humanize and dehumanize them at the

same time. The actors do a fantastic job of

portraying these characters on the screen in a

realistic way. By showing the characters go

through stuff that can only be described as “hell”

because of the consequences of their decisions,

the director shows clearly that their actions are

unlawful and are not meant to be justified as the

pain that it brings to themselves and the others

affected by it is immeasurable.
