I also realized that happiness comes from doing the

little things and need not be materialistic. I baked

them a cake which they enjoyed a lot. I have learnt

the value of money through these things and believe

that happiness can be generated through the

minimal.

During the lockdown I was pleasantly surprised to

see how little we need to go on reasonably and

comfortably with our day-to-day life whether it be

cars, household things or food supplies. We

constantly acquire expensive garments, shoes, other

accessories and so on. We never stop collecting

more and more. We do this because we want to

exhibit to the world how up-to-date, fashionable and

wealthy we are. I am going to make a conscious

effort to avoid this negative pattern . I have decided

to reduce my financial burden to whatever extent

possible. I have learnt a lot about technology, as I

had to adapt myself to attend my classes online. I

had to install various new software and applications

which I would never have tried if I were living under

normal life circumstances. I read many books and

watched series and shows on various OTT platforms

which helped in improving my language and

vocabulary.
