How can a young lad live without going to school?

After all, all learning began at school. At least that is

what I had thought until now and I was pleasantly

surprised to discover otherwise. The lockdown

compelled people on this planet to change what

otherwise seemed ‘routine’ and I was no exception.

I was quickly reminded of Charles Darwin’s “Survival

of the Fittest” theory of evolution, only with a small

change: “Survival of the most adaptable” and thus

started a different journey of life without school.

Although I felt like a bird free from its cage for the

first few days, it slowly struck me that ‘learning’ and

‘schooling’ are different things. The learning process

now seemed more exciting. It was something

experimental. I was able to use the internet and

technology better and more productively. It was as

if a whole new dimension of learning was thrown at

me. The school management and my teacher

created a virtual school which could be easily

accessible through mobiles, laptops, desktops or

tabs. Everyday online classes on platforms like
