Design Statement: Mount Saint Joseph Academy sought
improvements to the main entrance to improve security,
to provide handicap accessibility, to provide functional
improvements to the administration and admissions
functions, and to improve the street presence of the main
entrance.

Looking also to develop an outdoor gathering space for social
functions that improve the advancement and development
opportunities for the school, Bernardon created a bold
entrance that engages the visitors and students by “reaching
out” to the main entrance drive – creating a destination
portal for entrance and celebration.

The entrance improves security, accessibility, function, and
opportunities to engage students, alumnae, and supporters
of this great Catholic school.
