Design Statement: The Shoppes at Belmont is a 300,000
SF retail center situated between two major highway
intersections, Route 30 and Fruitville Pike. Bernardon
provided master planning, architecture, and landscape
architecture design services. Architectural design and
documentation included 11 retail buildings, with design
evaluation provided on behalf of the Owner for the
remaining three of the 14 buildings. The color palette and
use of building materials such as brick and stone veneers,
as well as design elements such as sills and cornices, add
to the classical architectural design that reinforces the
Township’s zoning ordinance requirement that encourages areas and architecture site features such as accent walls and
