FIRM PROFILE

Lewis S. Goodfriend & Associates is a diversified acoustical engineering consulting firm offering professional
services in architectural acoustics; sound and impact isolation; environmental, industrial, and transportation
noise; HVAC noise and vibration; and expert witness testimony. The firm is registered as a Small Business
Enterprise with the New Jersey Commerce & Economic Growth Commission.

LSG&A has been providing acoustical engineering services since 1953. Clients include educational facilities,
major corporations, industrial organizations, architectural and engineering firms, houses of worship,
attorneys, local municipalities, private residents, and commercial enterprises. The firm has a wide breadth of
experience, from working with historical buildings undergoing renovations to designing the latest advanced
green buildings with LEED certification. Services include development of acoustical design criteria,
acoustical measurements, evaluation with respect to applicable standards and regulations, and preparation
of recommendations for reducing noise and vibration.

Personnel maintain technical knowledge through professional societies including the Acoustical Society of
America; Institute of Noise Control Engineering; Audio Engineering Society; American Consulting Engineers
Council; American Industrial Hygiene Association; American Society for Testing and Materials; American
Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers; American Society of Mechanical
Engineers; National Council of Acoustical Consultants; National Society of Professional Engineers; The
Society for College and University Planning; and the Transportation Research Board. Members of the firm
have served as consultants to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the United States National
Bureau of Standards, the Federal Highway Administration, and the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development. LSG&A has licensed Professional Engineers and INCE Board Certified members on
staff.

It is the belief of the staff at Lewis S. Goodfriend & Associates that each space being built or renovated
should be designed with the occupant in mind at all times, whether it is for a resident, student, or executive.
Our goal on every project is to work closely with the project team to obtain their design goals realistically,
satisfactorily, and cost effectively.
