CHAPTER FOUR | Who am I? What is going

               on?

I blink once, then twice. I see myself in a hospital
surrounded by people. I see my parents, Benjamin and Mrs.
Oxford. All of a sudden, voices are talking over each other.

“Shhhhh, the nurse says hushing, everybody in the room. He
needs some rest; questions can be asked a er one day. All except

the guardians of Noah Williams must leave the room.”. I watch as
the group of people file out and my parents come to sit next to

me. Still, in deep thoughts, I wondered who am I, what am I
doing, and why was I brought to life? Tired of my thoughts, I

decided to take a nap to rest. The next time I awoke was about
two hours late; the nurse was offering me lunch. I slowly took in
the hot soup that would help me feel stronger. A er I finished

my lunch, I sat in bed and asked the nurse what happened. She
said it was best for me not to know. The only information she

gave me is that I am not going to school for the next two weeks
and I will only leave the hospital until tomorrow night. I was very
startled, confused, and happy. No Ash for two weeks was an

immense delight, but other things worried me most. Usually, if
you fainted, you would get out of the hospital in 1 hour. I knew

something was wrong. I kept to the shadows understanding
something was wrong with me. I lay in the hospital bed, worried

sick. I felt like I was about to throw up, but I knew I wouldn’t.
That day Benjamin visited me at 4:30 with his family. They

bought me some flowers and chocolate. I was very confused. I
only fainted, right?I showed my thanks and spent some time with
Benjamin. He was blabbering about how he is not going to

survive without me for two entire weeks. I either nodded or used
my hands to answer. My mouth was so sore I dared to talk. A er
