In this photo taken sometime in 1905, men work on the roof of the new brewhouse at the Olympia
brewery. The new building was probably operational in late 1905, but is usually referred to as the
1906 brewhouse. The wooden structure in the background is the old Fannie Biles residence, which
was converted to brewery offices. In 2016, the City of Tumwater is raising funds to replace missing
roofs on the lower floors of the brewhouse, in an effort to save the structure.
