Cefn Glas Infant School
Looking after the environment is part of everyday life for staff
and pupils at Cefn Glas Infants in Bridgend; from swap shops
and litter picking to food growing and using recycled materials
in music and history lessons. By empowering pupils with
environmental knowledge and skills, the positive impact of
Cefn Glas goes far beyond the school gates.
Pennar Community School
The motto for Pennar Community School’s Green Team is
‘small changes, big difference’. In 2021, inspired by the UN’s
COP summit, pupils created their own annual climate change
conference which has led to positive environmental changes in
school, the local community and across Pembrokeshire.
Ysgol Gymunedol Peniel
Ysgol Gymunedol Peniel in Carmarthenshire is a platinum
Eco-School with an incredibly active and passionate pupil-
led eco-committee. Their recent ‘Less Waste for Christmas’
campaign is just one example of how they encourage the
whole school community to make more environmentally
friendly choices.
