Bring together a place-based zero waste challenge network of organisations to
support cultural change in businesses and communities
After carrying out their annual Eco-Schools environmental review pupils at Cefn Glas Infants
were inspired to inspired to reduce their waste, by rejuvenating their recycling habits, and
having a whole school focus on reducing waste. Their biggest impact has been to see their
paper usage reduce by half! They celebrated by running their first ever ‘Trashion Show’ – an
upcycling fashion challenge for all the pupils. Read more here.
The Eco Committee at Brynmenyn Primary were shocked at the amount of food waste the
school was generating. Their work has led to a reduction from four black bags to one bag of
