BASIC MECHANICAL CLEAN:
The positive attributes of this approach are: • Low Capital Cost
• Low Operator skill level required
• Low maintenance skill level required • Low cost of Ownership
The negative attributes of this approach are:
• High Labor Content
• Low Production rate
• Prone to variation, (operator, temperature, pressure, abrasiveness of media, etc.) • Lack of control of these variables can lead to high scrap rates

These two attributes are the primary drivers for progressing from a BASIC level to a MEDIUM level of equipment, or from a MEDIUM level to a HIGH-END level of equipment.
