SPOTLIGHT ON DC2

This month we are getting to know Cody Narron, Crew Chief DC2. Cody
started at Loram in May of 2016 and he hails from Warrensburg, MO.

What was your first impression when you arrived at your machine?
My first machine assignment was DC4. When I first arrived at the machine,
I was pretty overwhelmed having not worked on anything like this before.
Is there a skill you would like to master and is so why?
I wouldn’t say that there is any one skill I would like to master but I would
like to get better in all mechanical aspects of the job.

What do you miss most when you are away from home?
I miss spending time with my family and friends.

What is your favorite thing to do on your time off?
During my time off I enjoy fishing, riding my motorcycle, and going to Kan-
sas City Chiefs/Royals games.

Do you have a favorite location/city you have been to while working with Loram? Why is it your favorite?
My Favorite location to work would have to be anywhere in the Midwest because its nice being close to home. Wis-
consin is good for small mouth bass fishing on my days off.
What’s your favorite memory from the past year?
My favorite memory I guess would have to be looking at the monuments in Washington D.C. although you couldn’t
actually tour anything at the time. (DC2 went through D.C. in April 2020.)
What is something about yourself that would surprise your co-workers?
The one thing that might surprise them is that I once had a small part in a skateboard video. A shop in St. Louis spon-
sored some people I knew, so I got to be included. The video was sold at the shop.

What advice would you give to a new employee to
Fleet Operations?
The advice I always give new employees is to just watch
and listen to what the people who have been here a
while do and not to be afraid to ask any questions. The
harder you work the quicker you can move up here.
What is the best advice someone has given you?
The best advice was from an uncle who told me to never
turn down an opportunity to travel.
