What new tools are out there for inspections? Fleet Operations has recently purchased a couple high tech Fluke
Acoustic Image tools. These are specifically for detecting air leaks. The acoustic imaging allows you to “see” sound
by displaying the sound source in the form of an image. It displays the sound location as a spatial distribution of
cloud, portraying it as an ultrasonographic space sound field distribution. The color and brightness of the image rep-
resents the strength of the sound. If you have an air leak that you cannot find, let us know, this tool is available for
use.
