As time goes on, you will find an increase in these symptoms if you are experiencing burnout.
Though burnout can be exhausting and devastating, there is always hope. Tomorrow is not set in stone. And the mis-
takes of our past do not have to determine our future successes. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
So, can you push through and reach the other side? It is possible with time and some of the following steps:
• Develop and Maintain Close Relationships
Human beings thrive when we have strong connections to others. Research has proven that people with
strong friendships and family ties are happier, healthier, and more likely to find success. The dangerous
thing about burnout is that when we go through it, we tend to withdraw from others. Because of this, you
will need to be intentional about building and maintaining strong relationships when you find yourself in a
season of burnout.
• Take Care of Yourself
Although it might not seem like it, taking care of yourself physically is key to overcoming mental exhaus-
tion and burnout.
• Keep Perspective
Focusing on the stable things in life can help you no matter what you are going through. When chaos is
erupting, find something that has not changed and hold on to it. Remember, life is unstable and involves
change after change. But there are a handful of things that do not change.
