OPERATIONS UPDATES
Operational Excellence Coins
Congratulations to the following employees
for being recognized with an Operational
Excellence Coin!
Rich Kopka, Senior Technician and Jason Young, Senior Technician were nom-
inated by Wade Sprengeler for his May and June General Recognition Coin
SBC12 has many years of service under its belt and the time has come to do an overhaul on the mechani-
cal, hydraulic and electrical system. Rich Kopka and Jason Young have been the backbone of the electrical
SBC12 overhaul. With a machine of this age schematics and associated documentation is limited. We have
been able to leverage their experience and expertise to tackle this project. Their attention to detail and
pride in their work is second to none. Both Jason and Rich understand that their quality of work will de-
termine the long-term success and reliability of this machine.
I have heard multiple compliments on the progress, scope and quality of the work they are doing. If we
were to talk attaching a Core Value to their work, I would say pick one. There work is top notch and
much appreciated. Thanks Rich and Jason.
Michael Hunter, Crew Chief Specialized Maintenance and Enoch Thomas (EJ),
Crew Chief Specialized Maintenance were nominated by Zebediah Dintelman
for his June General Recognition Coin
I was able work alongside Michael Hunter and
Enoch Thomas (E.J.) on RGS8's overhaul recently.
Both Michael and E.J. were able to keep a very
positive attitude while working on RGS8 with
limited resources and a large to-do list. Their
keen eye for safety was especially awesome to
witness.
Together Michael and E.J. make an extraordinary
team!
