ble experience as well. The common theme for both experiences is they both provide valuable lessons that can
be leveraged to assist us in building a positive, welcoming experience for new hires. As the aged old saying
goes, first impressions mean everything. If a person feels welcome and has meaningful work, there is a much
better chance they will have some longevity with the organization.
Orientation and Onboarding programs provides a roadmap for managers and supervisors to consistently exe-
cute the task of introducing New Hires to Loram. I urge employees, especially those who are supervising oth-
ers, to review the modules that are available in Cornerstone. If you search “New Hire” in the search bar you
will find various video modules and guidelines to assist with your efforts.
As Loram continues to grow, it is paramount to our success as an organization to retain and attract new em-
ployees. I ask all within the organization to put your best foot forward with a positive, welcoming attitude.
Providing our fellow co-workers, new hire or seasoned veteran, a sense of belonging and purpose is not just
part of Loram’s ICARE Values, but common courtesy.
So, is Loram your Mother? Well in terms of my journey it has been my home for the past 27 years and I hope
it can provide you with the same level of success and experiences I have been able to enjoy on my journey.
