Deenergizing equipment is vital to ensuring everyone’s
safety on a work site. LOTO non-compliance is one of the most unforgiving aspects of safety we encoun-

Things to Consider:
• Each crewmember must be trained and
signed off on LOTO requirements.
• Shortcuts should never be taken. How

From the top-down we must ensure commitment and understanding of these safety standards. Applying
the basics is the first step to ensuring an industry leading safety culture.
