La Diablesse on the River Bank
When he saw the lady’s other foot he ran, but she
caught him and dragged him to the river and
ducked his head under the water until he stopped
breathing and then they both disappeared.
The next day, the villagers went searching for the
hunter since he did not come home but they
couldn’t find him. They searched for eight days
but still did not find him. They stopped because
they got tired and hungry.
