St Patrick’s Day Parade Float
“Good morning Chief Roberts, how are you
today?” asked grandma. “I am fine and you?”
asked the Chief. “I’m well. My grandson wanted to
see where his grandfather used to work.”
replied grandma. “Well you are free to look
around, I’ll even give you a personal tour of the
place,” said Chief Roberts. The tour ended where
all the old fire trucks were parked. “Mr Roberts
I have a big question to ask you. Can I use one of
the old fire trucks to pull our float for the
St Patrick’s Day Parade, please?” asked Tommy.
Chief Roberts responded, “That is a big favour.
I don’t know. What if something happens to it?
It’s too risky. I’ll do it only if I drive.” Tommy
replied, “Yes, could you drop it by our house so
that we can decorate it?” Hours later, they
finished decorating the truck with tinsels,
shamrocks and madras cloths in the shape of a
bow to the front. It was breathtaking and
resembled the float.
