St Patrick’s Day Parade Float

It was finally the day of the St Patrick’s Day Parade
- the day everyone was fussing about. On reaching

the parade, I was very impressed with the other

floats. Our rich African, Irish Heritage showed

through the decorations on the float and on our

costumes. Grandma and mummy were selling goat
water and deep fried mountain chicken in one of

the slave huts at the Town Center.

Tommy could not wait to get there. The floats

crawled through the town. There was joy, frolic and
calypso music flowing through the air.
